Fits: 88-91 Prelude
These are 4 engine swap brackets that allow you to swap a “regular” B-series engine and transmission into your 3g Prelude.
These are “swap brackets” not “swap mounts”. They bolt onto the regular B-series engine and allow you to use the stock 3G Prelude manual transmission engine mounts to mount the whole assembly in the bay.
The benefit of this is the possibility of having a low-vibration engine swap using the stock rubber mounts. If you want extra control then you can fill the stock mounts with window weld or polyurethane as needed.
A traction bar is not required for this swap unless you want to run AC. In that case you will need a traction bar to have clearance for the AC compressor.
Front Mount Bracket Option: If you are running polyurethane side and rear mounts then running a front mount is not strictly required. If you are going to use OE rubber mounts then the front bracket is strongly recommended. If you are going to use a Prelude Engineering traction bar please select "No", you can select the B-series torque rod front bracket on the traction bar store page.
Optional Upgrade: These can be installed using a combination of your original 3g Prelude bolts and the bolts that came with your B-series, plus a few extra nuts. However we can supply a whole set of new yellow zinc bolts for this kit.
Compatible with:
Engines: B16, B17, B18, B20B, B20Z (VTEC and non-VTEC heads)
Transmissions: Any B-series hydraulic clutch transmission (CRV AWD transmission (SXBM) not included)
